Nina Budd

Monday September 7, 2009 marks the second anniversary of my Journey with Cancer. It is now two years since my surgery. I invite you to mark this day and join with me and my family as we celebrate the many blessings on this amazing journey. I invite you to hold in your thoughts and prayers those family and friends around you who are living with cancer, affected by cancer and their caregivers. I will light a candle and offer the light of Hope on this journey. I invite you to mark this most special and important day in our lives and be part of the journey.

Nina's Dragonflies
Everest and Mt. Kilimanjiro Climber, Harold Mah, visits Alan and Nina

On October 13, 2007, Harold Mah summitted Mount Kilimanjaro. The final ascent to the summit took the team 5 hours. Harold carried a photo of Nina with him to the summit as a way to support Nina’s journey and difficulites during Chemo Treatments.  In 2005, Harold was part of the Sean Egan Expedition to summit Mt. Everest.

Nina's Dragonflies
Today, I said Good Bye to my Dragonfly Friend Kathleen. I will always remember her and say she is gone.  I will cherish her memory and the time we knew each other. Kathleen will live on.  I will always remember how she touched me.
The End

Sunday September 7, 2008 marks the one year anniversary of my Journey with Cancer. It is one year since my surgery.  I invite you to mark this day and join with me and my family as we celebrate the many blessings on this amazing journey.  I invite you to hold in your thoughts and prayers those family and friends around you who are living with cancer, affected by cancer and their caregivers.  I will be marking the day with a small private ceremony.  I will be taking down the prayer flags that have been taking the many prayers for favourable results offered from so many into the Heavens.  I will also be offering a new set of prayer flags to guide me and my family onward each day.   I will be lighting a candle and offering the light of Hope on this  journey.  I invite you to mark this most special and important day in our lives and be part of the journey.

Lung Cancer

I want to think about how uncomplicated things seem to be for the beautiful dragonflies in my garden. I want to think about how things might be if we listen to them and what they can teach us. I want to learn to appreciate just one day. This is my learning curve of gratitude as a dragonfly walker.

Nina’s Dragonflies

This are my pages about Dragonfly Walkers
I want to think about how uncomplicated things used to be. I want to think about those simple breakfasts with eggs and coffee and good company. I want to think about how things might be if we listen and learn from others. I want to learn to appreciate just one day. This is my learning curve of gratitude as a dragonfly walker.

This is my hope.

If you check back, you’ll find more photos almost everyday.
It is taking more time than I thought.
